In the process of sand washing, fine sand will be lost with the flow of water. According to statistics, a production line will lose about 5%-25% of its content, which seriously affects the production output of sand making.So how to solve this problem?Let me share with you 4 methods of fine sand recycling.

Four methods of fine sand recovery

1. Use a multi-stage sedimentation tank to precipitate

A three-layer sedimentation device is equipped in the sedimentation tank, so that after a period of time after the sand washing wastewater flows into the sedimentation tank, it will settle layer by layer. Due to the heavy specific gravity of sand and mud, after a long period of precipitation, the sand and mud can be separated.

The disadvantage is that long-term sedimentation work requires a large area of sedimentation tank, and manual excavation and removal of sediment is required in the later stage, which consumes a lot of labor costs and time costs.


2. Equipped with dewatering screen equipment

The sand washing wastewater is directly discharged to the screen surface of the linear dewatering screen to recover the lost sand.

The disadvantage is that the raw material contains little or no mud, so there will be no problem, but if it contains too much mud, it will cause the final link to be useless and will not be recycled at all. It is still a mixture of mud and sand that is recovered.


3. Use a fine sand recycling machine to recycle

The sand washing wastewater is discharged to the lower tank of the fine sand collector, and the mixed sediment water is pumped by the slurry pump to the cyclone separator, and then discharged to the screen surface. The fine sand is discharged with the screen surface, and the mud and water are returned to the lower tank to form a cycle from which the sand in the wastewater is extracted.

Two points should be paid attention to during the use of the fine sand recovery machine: 1. Do not put materials when starting up, and then put materials in after idling for a few laps after starting up, which can reduce the burden on the equipment; 2. When configuring the transformer, the total power must be considered, and more voltages can be appropriately configured to avoid low-voltage operation of the equipment and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.


4. Add chemical agents

The lost sand and water are discharged into the sink, and chemical agents can be added to make the mud and sand quickly condense into flocs, and the rapid separation of sand and water can be achieved.However, this method is mainly used in the recycling and utilization of fine coal in the slime industry, and there will be certain limitations in the use of sand and gravel yards.
