When the processing capacity of the hammer crushing station decreases, the particle size of the product will become thinner, the crushing ratio increases, and the unit wear of the hammer head also increases.Similarly, changing the size of the discharge gap causes the thickness of the product particle size to be changed, resulting in varying degrees of wear on the hammer head.

2. Methods to reduce the wear of the hammer head

2.1 Reasonable linear speed: The hammer crusher mainly uses the hammer head to impact the material for crushing operations. The unit pure wear of the hammer head is proportional to the primary and secondary powers of the linear speed.Therefore, under the premise of ensuring the particle size of the product, we need to choose a reasonable linear speed for the crushing of the material to maximize the wear of the hammer.


2.2 Improve the utilization rate of the hammer head and reduce the replacement time of the hammer head. The utilization rate and replacement time of the hammer head are closely related to its structure and its fixing method.In the process of crushing operations, symmetrical structural forms and simple fastening methods can be used to improve the metal utilization rate of the hammer head through large clamshells, large access door enclosures, etc., thereby extending the service life of the hammer head.


2.3 After changing the wear of the surfacing cemented carbide hammer head to a certain extent, surfacing the cemented carbide on the wear surface can also effectively reduce the wear of the hammer head.


2.4 Choose hammers of different materials for materials of different hardness. When crushing materials of different hardness, choose hammers of different materials. For example: commonly used high-manganese steel materials can be used for crushing medium-hardness materials; hammers with high corrosion resistance and high wear resistance must be used for crushing high-hardness materials.


2.5 Strengthen daily use and maintenance management. During the installation of the hammer head, the sand and burrs in the holes and notches of the hammer head bolts must be removed so that the hammer head can fit flatly when connected; when fastening the hammer head bolts, hammer the elliptical head while fastening; check the bolt fastening situation in time after the hammer head is running for about half an hour (after fastening, spot welding the nut and thread to prevent it from loosening).
