5 things to note when working with impact crusher

2025-09-05 Visits:

Impact crushers offer a high crushing ratio and fine particle size, making them widely used in sand and gravel aggregate production lines. During impact crushing operation, these details require special attention.

1. No-load Starting

The impact crusher should be started with no load. Otherwise, the motor load will increase, resulting in excessive starting current and even motor burnout.

2. Carefully Inspect the Moving Parts

When operating the impact crusher for the first time after installation or when adjusting the impact plate, first inspect the moving parts for signs of binding or collision. Only start the machine after verification. Do not adjust the impact plate during operation to avoid equipment failure.

3. Ensure Uniform Feeding

Feeding should be as uniform and continuous as possible. Otherwise, localized wear of the hammer and impact crusher will accelerate, reducing production efficiency. Uniform feeding also prevents excessive load fluctuations during the hammer's rotation, which can cause unbalanced vibration in the impact crusher.

4. Pay Attention to the Temperature Rise of the Rotor Main Bearing

While the impact crusher is operating, carefully monitor the temperature rise of the rotor main bearing. If the temperature rise exceeds the specified value, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

5. Promptly repair or replace worn parts. Worn parts, especially the impact plate, blow bar, and other major wear-resistant parts that come into direct contact with the material, should be repaired or replaced promptly.
