How to maintain jaw crusher daily

2025-10-27 Visits:

Daily maintenance of a jaw crusher is crucial to ensuring efficient operation. It requires a systematic approach encompassing lubrication, cleaning, and inspection. Lubrication is key. Grease should be regularly added to key areas, such as bearings and toggle plates, and replaced every three to six months to prevent over- or under-lubrication, which can lead to poor heat dissipation and dry grinding. Low-temperature grease should be used in cold environments to prevent solidification and failure.

Cleaning and maintenance are essential. After each shift, the crushing chamber should be cleaned of accumulated material to prevent blockage and operational degradation. Dust accumulated on the bearing seats should be regularly removed to prevent impurities from accelerating wear. Inspection and maintenance should be systematic, with particular attention paid to jaw plate wear. If the tooth depth is worn exceeding 50% or is loose, tighten or replace it immediately. Fasteners, such as the thrust plate and connecting rod bolts, should be inspected monthly to prevent vibration and misalignment that could cause malfunctions. During operation, adhere to no-load startup and uniform material feeding protocols to avoid overloading and damage to the equipment. Systematic maintenance can significantly extend equipment life and ensure continuous production.
