Technical requirements for a 20 tph mica crushing machine

2026-01-22 Visits:

To meet the production demand of approximately 150,000 tons of mica powder per year, configuring a mica crushing system with a processing capacity of 20 tons per hour (20 tph) is crucial. Given mica's layered structure, low hardness (Mohs hardness 2–3), easy cleavage, and good toughness, the crushing equipment must balance efficient crushing with preventing over-grinding.

Firstly, the crusher should adopt a low-speed, high-torque design, preferably a double-roll crusher or a roller crusher, to achieve selective crushing, reduce the pulverization rate of flaky mica, and ensure the integrity of the product particle shape. The feed particle size is recommended to be controlled at ≤150mm, and the adjustable output particle size range is 5–30mm to suit subsequent grinding or classification processes.

Secondly, the equipment materials must have good wear resistance and anti-sticking properties. The roller surface should be made of high-manganese steel or surface-welded wear-resistant alloy, and a roller cleaning device should be considered to prevent mica flakes from adhering and affecting continuous operation. The entire machine should have good sealing and be equipped with dust removal interfaces to meet environmental emission requirements.

The electrical control system should have overload protection, automatic reversal, and fault alarm functions to ensure safe and stable operation. The equipment's processing capacity needs to stably reach 20 tph under conditions of moisture content ≤5%, with reasonable power configuration (usually 30–55kW), low energy consumption, and easy maintenance.
