What material is the roller of the roller crusher?

2026-02-07 Visits:

Roller crusher is a common medium and fine crushing equipment, which is widely used in mining, building materials, coal and chemical industries. Its core working parts are two relatively rotating rollers, and the material is broken by extrusion, shear and grinding between the rollers. The material of the roller is directly related to the crushing efficiency, service life and applicable material range of the equipment.

Under normal circumstances, the rollers of the roller crusher are mainly made of wear-resistant materials such as high manganese steel, alloy cast steel or cold-hardened cast iron.High manganese steel has good toughness and work hardening characteristics, and the surface will harden rapidly under impact load, thereby improving wear resistance. It is suitable for crushing ores with higher hardness or more impurities.Alloy cast steel improves the strength and wear resistance of the material by adding chromium, molybdenum, nickel and other elements. It is commonly used in crushing operations of medium-hardness materials. The roll surface of cold-hardened cast iron has high hardness and good wear resistance, but its toughness is relatively low, and it is mostly used for crushing softer materials such as coal and limestone.

In addition, in order to extend the life of the roller, some equipment will be surfacing wear-resistant alloy layers on the roller surface, or inlaid with wear-resistant liners, in order to repair or replace after wear and reduce maintenance costs. For wet and viscous materials, toothed or grooved structures are sometimes designed on the roller surface to enhance bite force and prevent clogging.
