At what degree of wear should the shaft, eccentric shaft and bearing of the jaw crusher be replaced?

2025-03-27 Visits:

If the shaft wear is very small, just to repair its geometry, it can be turned on a lathe to make the journal reach the correct geometry, and then reduce the inner diameter of the bearing accordingly. But after several such treatments, if the journal size is reduced by 5% compared to the original, it is not allowed to turn it anymore, and a new shaft should be replaced.

The jaw crusher works under impact load. The working period of the babbitt lining on the bearing shell is about two years. If it exceeds the period, it needs to be recast.

If the eccentric shaft and the bearing shell, the mandrel and the bearing shell are worn, and the top clearance is greater than 1.5 times the original assembly clearance, it is necessary to add a pad to adjust or replace it; if the oil groove is worn by 1.5 mm, the oil groove should be reopened and adjusted.

When the clearance between the connecting rod head cover and the eccentric shaft is worn to more than 1.5 times the assembly clearance, it is also necessary to add a pad to adjust or replace it with a new one.

When the babbitt alloy on the bearing shell has a deep peel or a large scratch, it should be recast. The following requirements are imposed on the quality of the bearing shell after processing: the color of the surface of the Babbitt alloy should be uniform, matte and silvery white; the surface layer of the Babbitt alloy should not have ash, cracks, sand holes, shrinkage holes, or peeling phenomena.
