Cone crusher is the core equipment of mining crushing system, and its feeding method directly affects the operation efficiency of the whole production line. Scientific and reasonable feeding operation can not only improve the equipment capacity, but also maximize the service life of key components, which requires operators to accurately grasp the technical points of feeding operation.
1. Golden rule of material control
The particle size of materials must be strictly controlled within 80% of the size of the feed port. Oversized materials will cause blockage of the crushing chamber and aggravate the wear of the liner. The pre-screening system can separate oversized stones in advance. The thickness of the material layer in the crushing chamber should maintain dynamic balance. Too thin material layer will cause liner collision, and too thick material layer will cause abnormal increase in power consumption. Humidity control needs to be kept below the critical value of 6%, and high-humidity materials should be equipped with preheating devices in advance.

2. Intelligent coordination of feeding equipment
The amplitude of the vibrating feeder needs to be accurately matched with the processing capacity of the crusher. It is recommended to use a frequency conversion adjustment device to achieve real-time control of the feeding amount. The conveyor belt speed should form a closed-loop linkage with the crusher discharge speed, and dynamic balance should be achieved through the laser material level monitoring system. The feeding direction must be aligned with the central axis of the crushing chamber. Eccentric feeding will cause uneven force on the main shaft and premature failure.
3. Dynamic balance of system operation
Under the full feeding state, the material filling rate in the crushing chamber should be kept in the range of 85%-90%, which can form an effective crushing layer and avoid excessive compaction. The power monitoring system is used to track the motor load fluctuation in real time. When the current value exceeds the rated value by 5%, the feeding amount should be adjusted immediately. Regularly use an infrared thermal imager to detect the temperature gradient of the frame to ensure that the stress distribution meets the equipment design requirements.
