Crusher Selection for a 5-Ton-Per-Hour Glass Bottle Crusher
1. Key Equipment Selection Indicators
Processing Capacity
For a target production capacity of 5 tons/hour, select equipment with a rated capacity of ≥6 tons/hour (allow a 20% margin).
Recommended Model: A hammer crusher with a capacity of 6-8 tons/hour. Designed specifically for glass bottles, it efficiently processes waste bottles and cans.
Particle Size Requirements
If subsequent grinding is required (e.g., for glass wool production), the primary crushing must produce particles ≤20mm. A hammer crusher is the ideal choice, and its output particle size can be controlled by adjusting the screen.
If direct use is for construction filler, further crushing to 80-200 mesh is required, and a secondary grinding device (such as a ball mill) can be used.

2. Equipment Type Comparison
Hammer Crusher
Advantages: Simple structure, low maintenance costs (approximately $800-1500 annually), and suitable for high-hardness materials such as glass bottles. Limitations: Requires regular hammer replacement, high energy consumption (approximately 45-75kW).
Jaw Crusher
Suitable for: Glass bottles containing large impurities (such as metal caps) require initial coarse crushing, but the resulting particle size is relatively coarse (typically ≤50mm), requiring subsequent processing.
